William L. Ginther, 86, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 7:00 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.
Private family services will be conducted. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN, is handling arrangements.
He was born January 5, 1940, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Wayne and Catherine (Peo) Ginther. On February 13, 1993, in Michigan City, IN, he married Barbara Conrad, who survives in Michigan City, IN.
Also surviving are his son, Mark (Kim Greene), of Michigan City, IN; daughter, Mary Ginther Pearson of Michigan City, IN; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He is also preceded by his son, Jeffrey Ginther. 
William retired from the Michigan City Fire Department and then drove truck for 20 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran as well as a member of the St. Joseph Young Men's Society, F.O.P. Dunes Lodge 75, and a life member of the Moose Family Center 980. William enjoyed golfing and was an avid Chicago White Sox and Buffalo Bills fan.
