Bryon John Werdin, 52, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 8:07 am in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN, with Pastor Paul Pickens officiating. Burial will follow at Carmel Cemetery in La Porte, IN.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday and from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
He was born on November 5, 1973, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Wayne and Mary Ann (Kahn) Werdin. On October 20, 2001, in Michigan City, IN, he married Rachel East, who survives in Michigan City, IN.
Also surviving are two daughters, Gabriella Werdin and Averey Werdin, both of Michigan City, IN; son, Zayden Werdin of Michigan City, IN; two sisters, Melissa Elwell of La Porte, IN, and Beth Black of Westville, IN; two brothers, Wayne Werdin of Westville, IN, and Mark (Rachel) Werdin of Walkerton, IN; and a best friend, Mike Moran of Michigan City, IN.
Bryon had worked as a chef at Four Winds Casino. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping, shooting, playing cards, dirt bike riding, and spending time with his family.
