Look at that smile....there was a lot of charm behind it. Even in his last days, he charmed the staff and workers at Brickyard Healthcare-Terrace Care Center. Rickey made them laugh, just as he did his family and others in his life. No one was a stranger to Rickey. He had the gift of "gab", like his father. He would give you the shirt from his back, like his mother. Don't mention the hunting, fishing, and sports. He could give you the stats on football players.
He was one of those men who awakened before dawn and headed to the construction site. Ricky would work all day and be ready to do it all over again with joy and pride, but not everyone remembers him this way. He had a dark side that he could not shake. Rickey was an example of the prodigal son. The family chose to see Rickey through God's eyes. That smile--that charm. Rickey's siblings pray that others will be delivered from evil strongholds and that their eyes and ears will be opened to the love of Our Father.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family c/o Cynthia Przybylinski, 2900 Monroe Street, La Porte, IN 46350.
