Darlene Joy Patrick, August 12, 1957 – April 5, 2026.

Darlene Joy Patrick, 68, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at 6:45 p.m., Sunday, April 5, 2026, at her home.

She was born on August 12, 1957, in La Porte, IN, to Harland and Racheal (Jones) Harvey.

Darlene enjoyed doing yard work, gardening, and painting, and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren in her retirement. She loved and adored her dogs, and she liked shopping at Goodwill.

On January 15, 2000, she married her love, Ronald Lee Patrick, who preceded her in death. Together, they enjoyed more than twenty years of marriage.

Also preceding in death were her parents; one grandchild, Killian Ortiz; and six siblings, Jerry, Russell, Richard, Mick, Cinda, and Linda Harvey.

Darlene is survived by seven children, Tonya (Florentino) Avila, Chad (Wendy) Donahue, Racheal (Bernabe) Moyao, Eric (Kaitlyn) Donahue, Jeana (Jonathan) Ortiz, Michael Klement, and Jeremy Klement; twenty-three grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2026, at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W Johnson Rd, La Porte (219) 362-3100. Visitation and viewing will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery, La Porte, immediately following services.
