Nancy L. Willis, 81, Michigan City, IN, went to meet her heavenly father on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN, with Chaplain Rich Stoll officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 11:00 am on Thursday at the funeral chapel.
She was born March 3, 1945, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Herman C. and Helen T. (Sack) Carter. Nancy was the youngest of 13. On August 17, 1963, in Michigan City, IN, she married the love of her life, Larry J. Willis, who preceded her in death on February 27, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters: Tammy (Edwin) Willis-Grater of Michigan City, IN, and Melody (William) Fischbacher of Des Moines, IA; five grandchildren, Brittany Willis-Grater, Alysa (Dalton) Eggers, Flora (Ren Solari) Fischbacher, Benjamin Fischbacher, and Morgan Fischbacher; great-grandchild, Isaac Eggers; and three grand fur-babies, Tabby, Kenzie Grace and Maizie May.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Herman, Hobart, John "Jack", Thomas, and David Carter; and seven sisters, Kathryn Jean Marciniak, Rosalia Keller, Carol Carter, Sarah DiPaolo, Doris Resteau, Gertrude Hamilton, and Ruth Ann Leeds.
Nancy had worked at Joy Manufacturing for several years before joining the Indiana Paging Network Team. She loved the Lord, her family, puzzles, and animals.
