Michael A. Tews, 77, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 8:00 pm at St. Paul's Life Plan Community, South Bend, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 27, 2026, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN, with Pastor Bruce Carr officiating. A private burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Michigan City, IN. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral chapel.
He was born January 1, 1949, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Kenneth and Janet (Fox) Tews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Terrence Tews.
Michael had worked at Meijer's and was a caregiver to his parents. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Michigan City, IN. He enjoyed bowling and watching sports. Michael enjoyed spending time with his friends, whom he made over the years, and he will be missed.
