Thomas C. Dobkins, 60, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026, at 5:16 a.m. at Aperion Care in Michigan City.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana, is handling arrangements.
He was born on November 29, 1965, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Robert D.
Dobkins and Rose Wozniak.
Thomas is survived by his son, Brad Dobkins of Michigan City, Indiana; two daughters, Megan (David Wardlow III) Dobkins of Michigan City, Indiana, and Melissa Dobkins of Michigan City, Indiana; five grandchildren, Leah Wardlow, David Wardlow, Kamren Spencer, Arianah Dobkins, and Paisley Dobkins; and his sister, Lauri Hummel.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert D. Dobkins.
Thomas was a self-employed contractor who took great pride in his work. He was known for keeping his tools meticulously clean and organized and for always being willing to lend a hand, ready to fix or build whatever was needed. He especially enjoyed riding his motorcycle, but above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family and his grandchildren, who brought him great joy.
