Susan E. Jones, 67, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 6:02 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN, with Rev. David Kime officiating. Private entombment will take place in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Queen of All Saints Catholic Church Legacy Center. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
She was born March 31, 1958, in Michigan City, IN.
Susan was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Gonder; mother, Elizabeth Shuttleworth; and husband, Randy Jones.
Surviving are 2 brothers,  Michael (Gale) Gonder of Michigan City, IN, and Thomas Gonder of Trail Creek, IN; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; three step sons, Benjamin Rimmey, Garrich (Shannon) Jones and Graham (Mandi Kendall) Jones; three grandchildren, Kayla (Zachary) Baadsgaard, Madelyn (Donald) Twilla and Alyssa Jones; three great-grandchildren, Nikola and Emberly Baadsgaard and Iris Twilla. 
Susan had worked as a high school Spanish teacher and loved her dog Sonny. She enjoyed reading, cross-word puzzles, cross-stitching and the Home Shopping Network.
