John W. Middleton, Jr., 79, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 5:53 pm in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN, with Pastor Paul Pickens officiating. Private burial will take place in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Thursday at the funeral chapel. 
He was born September 1, 1946, in Gary, IN, to the late John W. and Elizabeth (Molnar) Middleton, Sr.
Surviving are five sisters, Susan Middleton of Michigan City, IN, Sandi
Nadeau of Tulsa, OK, Bette Middleton of Michigan City, IN, Judy (Wayne)
Barnes of Royal Oak, MI, and Margaret "Maggie" (Scott) Sanders of Royal
Oak, MI; two brothers, James (Linda) Middleton of Michigan City, IN, and
Gregg (Debbie) Middleton of Medford, WI; and several nieces, nephews,
great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and Tony Middleton.
John had worked at Blocksom & Co., Michigan City, IN, and at Aero Metals, La Porte, IN. He was a graduate of Isaac C. Elston High School and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
