Darlene A. Urban, 91, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at 5:50 am in Life Care Center of Michigan City.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN, with  Brother Shaun Gray CSC officiating. Private burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Wednesday in the funeral chapel.
She was born January 13, 1935, in Michigan City, IN to the late Wolford and Mildred (Westphal) Reicher. On May 21, 1966, in Michigan City, IN, she married Richard Urban who preceded her on November 23, 2008.
Surviving are three daughters, Linda Hopper, Diana (Candy Feare) Urban and Jodi (Kevin) Banda; four grandchildren, Krystal (Robert) Chambers, Eric (Kortney) Hopper, Shelby Banda and Austin "Wilson"; and four great-grandchildren, Cody Chambers, Carter Chambers, Chelsea Chambers and Luci Hopper.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Schultz; and her brother, Wayne Reicher.
She had worked as an office clerk at Pullman Standard and was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Darlene enjoyed coloring, watching the Hallmark Channel and sitting on her porch with her grand-dogs feeding them cookies.
