Robert Anthoney Pekofske Jr., 69, of Rolling Prairie, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, at Miller’s Merry Manor in New Carlisle.

He was born on October 16, 1956, in La Porte, to Robert and Verna (Selvidge) Pekofske Sr.

On December 19, 1981, in Hanna, IN, he married Patricia Underwood, who survives.

Robert loved taking road trips and looking at various farms, “road farming”. He enjoyed holiday camping trips with his brother-in-law and friends. Robert also enjoyed watching his favorite shows, Walker, Texas Ranger, and Star Trek. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sharing Cheetos with his great-granddaughter, Hazel. Robert was greatly loved and will be truly missed.

Also surviving are his children, David (Christina) Pekofske, Jason (Melissa) Lovely and Stefanie (Scott) Biller; grandchildren, Jade Willis, Kaitlyn Pekofske, Thomas Pekofske, Clara Lovely, Tilly Lovely, Madison (Jake) Molloy, Kattrina Biller and Savanah Biller; great-grandchildren, Hazel Molloy and Harper Molloy; sister, Joyce Pekofske; Aunt, Margret Thompson; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 1, 2025, at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, (219) 362-3333. A funeral service will be on Friday, January 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00  a.m. Friday. Burial will be at New Carlisle Cemetery.
