William "Bill" Leslie Reed, 73, of La Porte, IN, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Bill was born on December 17, 1951, in Gary, IN, to Bernard and Kathleen (Kissane) Reed.

On September 20, 1975, in Lake Station, IN, he married Vicki J. Austin, who preceded him in death on April 17, 2014. Surviving are his son, Timothy "Tim" (Kyrie) Reed of La Porte; seven grandchildren, Tim (Kayla) Reed, Dan Reed, Dakota Reed, Derek Reed, Dylan Reed, Deanna Reed, and Oliver Hendrickson; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son, Jeremy Reed.
Bill was a Lieutenant Correctional Officer for 28 1/2 years at the Westville Correctional Facility.

He enjoyed gambling at Four Winds Casino, fishing, visiting lighthouses, and caring for his dog, Bella, and cats, Skamper and Tom. Most importantly, Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and always looked forward to his weekly dinners with Tim.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
