Mindalyn Sue Gaunt, 74, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 29, 1951, in La Porte, Indiana, to the late Harland H. James “Jim” Pugh and Betty (Tennis) Pugh of La Porte, Indiana.

Mindy was an office manager with the City of La Porte’s Police Department and Water Department for a total of 22 years.

Surviving are her children, Erynn (Dave Warner) Gaunt of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Eric (Amanda Voorhees) Gaunt of La Porte, Indiana; grandchildren, Jamie, Jaelyn, Lillian, Alexandra, Amelia, Osbourne, and Ben; and her mother, Betty Pugh of La Porte. She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Constance Oxley.

Mindy was an avid sports and music lover. She was everyone's neighborhood mom, being a very strong person who would do anything for anybody. She belonged to multiple garden clubs.

Her grandchildren were her everything and so very important to her.

If Mindy had a million dollars, she would give every single dollar away to help others.
