Danny L. Willford, May 6, 1952 - November 30, 2025.
Danny L. Willford, 73, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 4:07 p.m. at Northwest Health-La Porte in La Porte, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana 46360, with Reverend Jim Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City. Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral chapel.
Danny was born May 6, 1952, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Robert and Hazel (Callahan) Willford. On September 19, 1981, in Michigan City, he married Cheryl (Patrick) Willford, who survives in Michigan City.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kaleena (Jonathan) Mark of La Porte and Megan (Dwayne) Griffin of La Porte; six grandchildren, Emma Mark, Madelynn Mark, MacKenzie Mark, Ava Mark, William Griffin, and Mason Griffin; four sisters, Pat (Rick) Bryant of Indiana, Malinda (Duane) Kniola of Alabama, Jackie (Joe) Briseno of Tennessee, and Robin Pletcher of Indiana; and three brothers, Dennis (Sadie) Willford of Florida, David (Kim) Willford of South Carolina, and James (Amber) Willford of Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rosie Fain.
Danny was a dedicated union laborer with Local Union 355, where he worked most of his life. He honorably served in the United States Army from 1970-1971 during the Vietnam era. He was a lifelong member of the Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Danny loved fishing and hunting, a passion he shared with his father and grandfather throughout the years. He also liked playing card games, especially Euchre, and treasured time spent with his family. Some of his greatest joys were traveling each year to Gatlinburg, TN, with his wife and singing gospel in church with his mom for many years. Most of all, his greatest joy was found in being the very best husband, dad, and papa to his family.
