Marion K. Russell

Marion K. Russell, June 22, 1936 - November 24, 2025.

Marion K. Russell, 89, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025, at Northwest Health-La Porte, IN.

 She was born June 22, 1936, in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Jerry and Agnes Pearl (Magley) Brennan.

A member of The Outreach Center Church, Marion was active in many church activities. On August 26, 1954, she married Clarence Russell, who preceded her in death on January 6, 2010.

As a homemaker, she raised foster kids as well as her own. Marion hosted many Sunday dinners and holiday celebrations throughout the years. She and her son spent hours searching out the best buys at garage sales, and she loved taking drives around Clear Lake and watching the geese. She was truly loved and will be greatly missed.

 Marion is survived by her sons, Tim (Raquel) Russell of Hamlet, IN, Seth Blankenship of South Bend, IN; John (Brittany) Russell, and Danny Wilhelm; daughter, Samantha (Dino) Leone of Florida; brother, Bill Brennan; sisters, Judy Jones, Barbara Watts, Nancy Palmer; grandchildren, Angela Russell, April (John) Karn, Amber Denaway, Calvin Russell, Henry Russell, Nova Russell, Zane and Zoey, Ariana, Gabriel, Zandan, and Kayden; 7 great-grandchildren and a large extended family.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Clarence Russel, Jr.; daughter, Tammy Russell; brother, Jerry Brennan; sisters, Betty Barton, Fran Guthrie, Diane Essary, Ada Wells, Ann Peters, and grandson Aaron Hoops.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. The family has selected cremation. They will hold a memorial service at the Outreach Center Church, 403 Park Street, La Porte, IN 46350, on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Burial of cremated remains to follow at Patton Cemetery.

The family requests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to Haverstock Funeral Home to help pay for the cremation.
