Deborah Marie Westphal, 61, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 9:20 a.m. in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2025, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral chapel.
She was born on July 4, 1964, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, to the late Lee Roy and Erma Ann (Fauber) Rogers. On March 31, 1989, in La Porte, Indiana, she married Carl "Skip" Lee Westphal, Jr., who was residing in Michigan City.
Also surviving are her two sons, Justin Lee Westphal and Dakota Ray Westphal, both of Michigan City, Indiana; father and mother-in-law, Carl and Leatrice Westphal, Sr., of La Porte, Indiana; seven siblings, Mel (Charlene) Romans, Lee Roy (Renee) Rogers Jr., Helen (Paul) Tudley, Harry (Debbie) Rogers, John (Brandy) Rogers, Charles (Tara) Rogers, and Jana (Mathew) Peisker; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Rogers and Lynette (Wayne) Cota; and one brother-in-law, Bryan "Tony" Westphal; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Leonard Rogers.
During her time at Elston High School, many people referred to her by her nickname, Ray Ray. She was known as friendly, outspoken, and outgoing. Deborah enjoyed detailing cars and making crafts. She adored her two Huskies, Nieco and Max. Deborah will be deeply missed.
