Joan Margaret Womack, 87, of La Porte, IN, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, November 14, 2025.
Joan was born on February 21, 1938, in Pulaski County, IN, to Ernest and Oscia (Cassady) Winters.
On June 3, 1956, in La Porte, IN, she married Perry Franklin Womack, who preceded her in death. Surviving are her 3 children, Ronald E. (Debra) Womack of Walls, SC, Julia Neary of Walkerton, and Barbara (Robert) Bunton of La Porte; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Jerry (Sandra) Winters of Hudson Lake; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Robert Franklin Womack, and grandson, Nathan E. Womack.
Joan was a cashier for 5 years at Goodwill. She enjoyed shopping, baking, and playing cards. Most importantly, Joan enjoyed spending time with her family.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held from 1 - 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Kankakee Township Fire Dept. Station 7, 3 W. Michigan St., Rolling Prairie.
