Sharon A. Blake

Sharon A. Blake, 83, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Sharon was born on June 6, 1942, in Michigan City to the late Raymond and Marriane (Cook) Osowski.

Sharon and John “Jack” Blake were married in August 1962, and they shared a long and loving life until he preceded her in death on May 3, 2025.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Deutscher of La Porte, and is also lovingly remembering her late son-in-law, Bill Deutscher. She is also survived by her sons, Michael (Nichole) Blake of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, and Chris (Tina) Blake of Rolling Prairie, Indiana; grandchildren Joshua Deutscher, Lindsey (Nicole) Deutscher, Ashley (Richard) Kroeger, Matthew (Sabrina) Blake, Amanda (Ryan) Layman, Amber Blake, and Halley Wolfe. She was a proud great-grandmother to 18 great-grandchildren.

Sharon was the proud owner of Ceramic Showcase in Michigan City and later in Rolling Prairie, where she poured her heart into teaching classes for over 25 years. She especially loved painting eyes on her pieces—an art she perfected so well that many lovingly knew her as the “Eyes Lady.”

After closing the studio, Sharon spent over 20 years working for The Village Florist in New Carlisle, where she found joy in socializing with customers, creating beautiful silk arrangements, and brightening the day of everyone who walked through the door.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM (C.S.T.) on Friday, November 21, 2025, at St. John Kanty Catholic Church, 7012 North 600 East, Rolling Prairie, Indiana.

Burial will follow at St. John Kanty Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Pl, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
