Brandon R. Summerlin, 34, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025, at 7:43 p.m. in Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2025, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN, with Patrick Myhand officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, IN. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2025, at the funeral chapel.
He was born January 31, 1991, in Michigan City, IN, to Steve Summerlin and Lisa (Bruemmer) (Jeff Brewer) Mizer of Michigan City, Indiana.
Also surviving are his two children, Kadence Summerlin and Tristen Vinson; grandmother, Linda Bruemmer; three brothers, Steven (Jessica) Summerlin, Jeffrey Mizer, and Frank (Ashley) Mizer; and sisters, Amber (Kyle) Sheets, Destiny Moore, and Sarah Underwood; his significant other, Tyler Holley, and her children, Adyson and Cecelia; special friend and mentor, Pastor Patrick Myhand; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lance Mizer, and brother, Jesse (Andrea) Mizer.
Brandon worked as a door technician at Pivotal Doors Inc. in Michigan City. He enjoyed going to the gym, making people laugh, and spending time with his children. He and his family were very proud of his accomplishments at W.A.I.R. (We All In Recovery). Brandon had big plans for a simple life and will be greatly missed by many.
