Brian K. Gulstrom, 62, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025, at his home.
He was born on October 18, 1962, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Gene and Susan (VanGilder) Gulstrom. In July 1995, he married Dawn Marie Paton in Houston, TX. She currently resides in Magnolia, TX.
Surviving are twin sons Josh, Justin, and stepdaughter Valerie Nicole Richter. Additionally, Brian was a proud grandpa to Zoey, Carter, and Lucius. He is also survived by his brother Stephen (Peri) of Collierville, TN, and a sister, Pam Wojcik (Marc) of Brookfield, WI. Many supportive aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces also survive Brian.
Brian worked various jobs throughout his life, but mostly as an independent contractor doing wiring, cable, and security systems. Brian excelled at sports at an early age and was an all-around athlete. The love for athletics continued into adult life as he devoutly followed the Houston Cougars, Rockets, Astros, and Texans. He had a real passion for Harley-Davidson. He had some amazing bike trips and made some good friends. Brian never met a stranger, and his zany personality made everyone laugh. His free spirit led him to Texas for many years, but his love for home in Michigan City brought him back in 2025.
The family held a private celebration of life.
