Michael G. "Mick" Richmond, February 21, 1949 - October 30, 2025.
Michael G. "Mick" Richmond, 76, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:31 am in his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1506 Washington Street, Michigan City, IN, with  Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Entombment will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Monday, and from 8:30 am - 9:30 am Tuesday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.
He was born February 21, 1949, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Forrest and Angela (Lubniecki) Richmond. On September 1, 1973, in New Buffalo, MI, he married Katherine Mulzon, who preceded him on April 4, 2024. 
Surviving are daughter, Kimberly  Riley of Michigan City, IN; son, Brian (Jennifer) Richmond of Michigan City, IN; four grandchildren, Natalie (Corey) McDonogh, Ryne Riley, Lucas Richmond, and Brenna Richmond; great-granddaughter, Ayva Riley; three sisters, Christine (David) Smith, Nancy Brummer, and Karen Frederickes, all of Michigan City, IN;  and two brothers, Richard Richmond and Thomas Richmond, both of Michigan City, IN.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sue Walters, and his wife. 
Mick retired after 30 years as an electrician at Sullair Corp and was the former owner of Center Stage Music and Crosstown Liquors, both in Michigan City. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam and was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, where he sang in the choir and volunteered for whatever was needed. Mick loved music, was involved with many different bands in the local area. He was also the promoter for the Michigan City Music Festival, as well as the sound system and lighting manager for the Michigan City Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and the Northwest Indiana Symphony.
