Braden Lloyd Nixon, August 26, 2000 - September 24, 2025.

Braden Lloyd Nixon, 25, of Westville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Franciscan Health in Michigan City.

He was born on August 26, 2000, in South Bend, to Kenneth and April (Doughty) Nixon.

Braden was a loving and gentle soul who adored his sister and loved being read books to by her. He got to enjoy going to Disney World on a Make-A-Wish, and was in parades in La Porte and Michigan City, as well as the Westville Pumpkin Fest parade. Braden has been in the NASCAR Winston Cup newspaper. He loved movies such as the Ninja Turtles, Ghostbusters, Marvel, and many others. Braden was greatly loved by all who had the opportunity to know him and will be truly missed. 

He is survived by his parents; sister, Kyliegh Nixon; two grandmothers, Sandra "Sandy" Nixon and Mary Pointon; grandfather, Richard Doughty; two aunts, Jennifer Williamson, and Michelle Wilson.

Braden was preceded in death by his grandfather, Marvin Nixon, and grandmother, Henrietta Doughty.

A funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, (219) 362-3333. Visitation and viewing will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Joseph Watterson officiating. Cremation has been chosen.  

For those attending Braden's visitation and service, the family requests you wear Disney, Marvel, or Ninja Turtle shirts in Braden's honor.
