Patricia Aileen McGrath, November 8, 1947 - September 18, 2025.
Patricia Aileen McGrath, 77, Pottawattamie Park, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 26, 2025, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1005 Moore Rd, Michigan City, Indiana, with Rev. David Kime officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass on Friday at the church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN, is handling the arrangements.
Born and raised in Michigan City, Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late George Evart McGrath and Aileen (Doherty) McGrath and the cherished sister of the late Michael A. and Kevin B. McGrath.
She is lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law, Patricia Ann McGrath; nephews, Michael McGrath, Mark McGrath, and Jayson (Samantha Spiro) McGrath; niece, Robyn (Joel) Martin; and her treasured great-nephews, Jack Martin, Drew Martin, and Wyatt McGrath. Patricia also leaves behind dear friends, Amy McGrath and Susan Paul, whose lives she touched deeply.
Patricia graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1965 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in 1979. She was a longtime member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, also attending masses at Notre Dame Catholic Church.
She dedicated her life to caring for others - whether through direct caregiving, preparing a warm meal, or simply listening with compassion. She was a steady presence, a trusted confidant, and a true friend to those who knew her best.
Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and quiet strength will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
