David John Parrett, 83, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 11:00 p.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, at Brickyard Care Center in La Porte.

He was born August 7, 1942, in Michigan City, to Leland and Murtie (Carter) Parrett.

On August 8, 1964, he married Beverly (Metts) Parrett, who survives.

David worked as a machinist for Joy Manufacturing for many years. He enjoyed playing poker, antique cars, and country music. Over the years, he developed many good friends, and he will be greatly missed.

Also surviving are his son, Steven (Jodi) Parrett; five grandchildren, Aly (Chris) Webb, Nicki Hock, Zoey Hock, Karlie Webb, and Emy Webb; and son-in-law, Eric Hock.

David was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Hock; brother, Marlin Parrett; and sister, Suzanne Krachinski.
