Julian "Butch" Charles Pratt

Julian "Butch" Charles Pratt, 82, of New Carlisle, passed away peacefully at 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 8, 2025, at Franciscan Health in Michigan City.

 He was born on February 22, 1943, in Indianapolis, IN, to Richard and Janett (Howard) Pratt.  On July 31, 1986, in LaPorte, Indiana, he married Mona Smith, who survives.

Julian was a retired Steelworker and member of the Steel Workers Union for several years, where he served as a Union Representative and later became a limo driver for Blue Chip Casino, a job he really enjoyed doing. He was also a bartender for Moose Lodge 980 for many years, of which he was a lifetime member. Julian was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing with his buddies and grandchildren. He was a sports fan who loved the Cubs, Bears, and Notre Dame. Most of all, he loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.

Also surviving are his children, Barry (Diane) Pratt, Tina (Bob Radcliff) Jensen, Michael (Penny) Jensen-Pratt, Robert Jackson, Michael Pratt, Joshua Pratt, Falishia (Michael) Wind, Rita Pratt; brother, Roy Lucas; Chris Jensen; best friend, Larry (Patty) Scott; 18 Grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Julian was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack Howard.

A Celebration of Life event will take place Saturday, September 20, from Noon to 2 pm at Moose Lodge 980 in Michigan City, Indiana.
