Bruce A. LeRoy, 85, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 11:51 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.
He was born July 28, 1940, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Archibald and Virgie (Matzke) LeRoy. On November 20, 1973, in Goshen, IN, he married Rebecca Hoverholt, who survives in La Porte, IN.
Also surviving are his daughter, Brooke (Derek) Steinhiser of Westchester, NY; son, Bryce LeRoy of La Porte, IN; two grandchildren, Kinsley and Logan Steinhiser; and a brother, Douglas LeRoy of La Porte, IN.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine and Barbara, and his brother, John.
Bruce was an educator, having served as Principal at Beverly Shores, Coolspring, and Knapp, then retiring as a 3rd grade teacher at Marsh Elementary.  He was a member of the Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity, Michigan City, IN, and enjoyed boating, puzzles, and playing cards.
