Charles W. Welnetz, 75, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, in his home.
Mass of Christian will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am,  August 26, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 400 W. 10th St., Michigan City, Indiana, with Rev. David Kime officiating. Full military honors will follow at the church, with private burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana.  Visitation will be from 9:30 am -10:00 am, Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.
He was born on December 7, 1949, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late William J. and Catherine (Miller) Welnetz.
Charles retired after 15 years as a Graphic Artist from J. Walter Thompson Company, Chicago, Illinois.  He was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, where he served as an usher, and for many years volunteered with the local nursing home facilities within Michigan City.  Charles was also a Vietnam veteran of the United States Air Force.
