Patricia Joann Ramos, 74, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 6:40 p.m. in her home.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Michigan City Fish and Game Club, 3091 E. Michigan Blvd., Trail Creek, Indiana 46360. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, is handling the arrangements.
She was born on April 21, 1951, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Norman and Laura (Pierson) Walters. In 1995, in Michigan City, Indiana, she married Rigoberto "Rigo" Ramos, who survives in Michigan City. 
Also surviving are her children, Shane Coursel of La Porte, Indiana, and Joann Coursel of Michigan City, Indiana; four step-children, Rigoberto Ramos, Jr. of Valparaiso, Indiana, Amanda Ramos, and Jennie Ramos, both of Michigan City, Indiana, and Maria Mendez of Westville, Indiana; five grandchildren, Robert Coursel, Zachary O'Neal, Brienna Comer, Kendel Coursel, and Cameron Coursel; and two great-grandchildren, Sienna McGinness and Henry Comer. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Shawna Coursel; one brother, Mike Walters; and three sisters, Becky Moffitt, Donna Biggerstaff, and Jackie Tyler.
Pat was a Jail Deputy at Westville Correctional and La Porte County Jail, retiring after many years of service. She enjoyed being with family, visiting the beach, listening to music, and making the holidays special for everyone.
