Beatrice Carter, 90, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at 10:05 am in her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, August 18, 2025, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN, with Chaplain Rich Stoll and Deacon Kathy Townsend Mendez officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Monday, in the funeral chapel.
She was born September 9, 1934, in Pineville, KY, to the late Edmus and Virgie (Cox) McGeorge. On July 5, 1957, in Tazewell, TN, she married Herman Carter, Jr., who preceded her on June 11, 1999.
Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Stephany and Kimberly Carter, both of Michigan City, IN; two sisters, Frances Hall of Pineville, KY, and Donna (Ron) Rose of Nicholasville, KY; two brothers, Harold (Sharon) McGeorge of Pineville, KY, and John McGeorge of London, KY.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Blanton and Phyllis
Smith and her brother, James McGeorge.
Beatrice was a member of the V.F.W. 2536 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed music, dancing, and rescuing animals.
