Sharon Garber

Sharon Garber, 62, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025. Sharon was born March 7, 1963, to the late Ronald and Bernice (Patterson) Garber.

Sharon is survived by her sisters, Seana (Ted) Garber-Robertson of Ellettsville, Indiana, and Shivaun Garber of La Porte, Indiana; brothers, Sean Garber of Speedway, Indiana, and Shane (Laura) Garber of La Porte, Indiana; two nieces; two nephews; and two great nieces.

Sharon's sweetness always impressed people. She was a medical miracle. She was not expected to live beyond two years of age.

She worked hard enough to walk across the stage to accept her high school diploma.

Sharon loved animal facts, word search puzzles, and the Chicago Cubs.

Even when she was very ill and hospitalized, she greeted everyone cheerfully. When lab techs would draw blood, she wished them “Good Luck”. She was a kind soul who only saw the good in people and situations. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 1225 Michigan Avenue, La Porte, Indiana 46350, or Cripped Children’s Aid Society, https://www.cfgnh.org/funds/crippled-childrens-aid-society-fund
