Darrick M. Czizek, 55, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 2:29 a.m. at Franciscan Health - Michigan City.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Monday, August 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN. A luncheon will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the F.O.P. in Michigan City.
Darrick was born on March 26, 1970, in Michigan City, Indiana.

He is survived by his son, Kyle (Kelsey) Czizek of Michigan City; grandson, Kyle Czizek, Jr.; parents, John “Reggie” and Sandra Czizek of Michigan City; two brothers, Darrel Czizek and Darrin Czizek, both of Michigan City; soul-mate, Jenni Hinton of Michigan City; bonus step-daughter, Amber (Chris) of Colorado; best friend, Matt Kahn of Michigan City; one uncle, David (Lila) Czizek of Westerville; aunt, Kathy (Chris) Czizek of Michigan City, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Kelley Czizek.
Darrick was employed at OnLine Packaging, Inc. in Michigan City. He was known for his love of playing dice and cards, trips to the casino, grilling, grocery shopping, the love he had for his animals, Chunk and Miller, and most of all, the time he spent with his beloved grandson.
