Teddy Rebac, 73, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, in Michigan City, Indiana.
A time of visitation will be from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm, Wednesday, July 30, 2025, in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana. A celebration of life service will be conducted at a later date.
He was born on October 1, 1951, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Frank and Margaret (Bridges) Rebac. Surviving are two sons, Coy (Angie Nawrocki) Rebac of Schaumburg, Illinois, and Kyran Culpepper of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughter, Carrie Vallarano of North Dakota; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joanna (Dave) Clark of North Carolina, Darlene Chamberlain of Tucson, Arizona, and Vicky Boeckling of Michigan City, Indiana; Coy's mother and Teddy's best friend, Faye Blash of Denver, Colorado, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Coy Rebac, Jr., and two brothers, Duane Rebac and Nicholas Rebac.
Teddy retired as Captain with the Michigan City Fire Department after 32 years. He then retired after 10 years as a school bus monitor with the Michigan City School System. During those times, he worked part-time at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. He was a member of the St. Joseph
Young Men's Society. Teddy graduated from Michigan City Elston High School, where he was a standout football player and enjoyed coaching in
youth football.
