Margaret “Gale” Adrian, age 78, of La Porte, IN, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Miller’s Merry Manor – Garrett, IN.

Gale was born on September 24, 1946, in La Porte, IN, to Robert O. and Linda (Yoder) Marty, who preceded her in death.

Gale was an elementary teacher in La Porte for 30 years, teaching at Maple, Handley, and Hailmann Elementary Schools. Gale was an avid reader and enjoyed playing board games with her sister, jigsaw puzzles, ballroom dancing, and spending time with her cats.

Gale is survived by her son, Terry (Jr.), and Michele Adrian, Avilla, IN; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ellen Heidel, La Porte, IN.

One granddaughter preceded her in death.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home, 2900 Monroe St., La Porte, IN 46350, with Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:30-11 a.m. on Monday prior to the services at the funeral home. Entombment will take place in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens – Michigan City, IN.
