Veronica "Sue" Stack, 80, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Brickyard Health-La Porte Care Center.
Sue was born on October 3, 1944, in Merrillville, IN, to Clifton and Stella (Renz) Broadaway.
In Las Vegas, she married Michael Stack, who preceded her in death. Surviving Sue are her 5 children, Pamela McKee of Rolling Prairie, Laura (Dwayne) Meadows of La Porte, Melissa Collins of La Porte, Cynthia Lantz of La Porte, and David McKee of La Porte; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great, great-grandchild; 5 siblings; many nieces and nephews; as well as the father of her children, Frederick E. McKee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 5 siblings.
Sue worked for many years as the treasurer for La Porte County. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, Bingo, and crocheting. She was a lifelong Cubs and Bears fan! Her favorite flowers included marigolds and yellow roses.

For many years, Sue had a residence at a local campground, where she was known as "Mama Sue" and "Queen of Hearts." For 20 years, she organized and ran the yearly poker runs at the campground. Sue thoroughly enjoyed her time and friendships created during those years.

Most importantly, Sue dearly loved her family, and she cherished any time spent with them, making lasting memories.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.
Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
