John H. Long, of Fish Lake, passed away peacefully in his home on June 28, 2025.

He was welcomed with open arms by his wife, Audrey Long, and son, Troy Long, who preceded him in death.

John was born in La Porte to Raymond and Margaret Long. On September 16, 1967, he married Audrey Long of Fish Lake, Indiana.

He worked as an operator at Millburn Peat Moss and Allis-Chalmers. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. John loved spending time with his family and going to the Howard County Veterans' Reunion.

John is survived by his daughter, Kelly Wolff of Fish Lake, and son, Johnny (Wendy) Long of Rolling Prairie. He has 7 grandchildren: Christopher, Cortney, Cody, Matthew, Maverick, Brittani, and Jaiden; and 2 great-grandchildren: Kinsley and Madison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret & Raymond Long; wife, Audrey Long; and son, Troy Long.

A Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

A time of visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.
