Carol Lynne Janik, 62, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Carol was born on April 7, 1963, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, to William and Helen (Phillippe) White.
As a child, Carol moved to Leesburg, Florida, where she graduated from high school. Carol married Phillip Alfred Janik, Jr., on June 10, 1989. They remained happily married until her passing.

Carol worked in Human Resources at the City of Leesburg for 30 years before retiring to Northern Indiana.

In her retirement, Carol was the owner of The Hoosier Crocheter. She also made hats and blankets for premature babies.

Carol is survived by her husband (Phil), son (Alex), and daughter-in-law (Sarah).

Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center in La Porte provided cremation services.

A private family memorial will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso, Indiana.
