Dean Dove, September 4, 1932 -June 21, 2025.

Dean Dove, 92, of La Porte, IN, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Miller's Health and Rehab in LaPorte.

 She was born in 1932 in Earle, Arkansas, to Houston and Creasie May (Franklin) Spear.

Dean married Roy E. Johnson and moved to Michigan City, IN, in 1953. They had three children: Lin (Sherry) Johnson of Smyrna, TN., Carla (Harvey) Kellogg of South Bend, IN., and Bob (Sherrie) Johnson of Murfreesboro, TN.

In December 1970, she married William T. (Bill) Dove, who had 5 children of his own. Bruce (Jeri), Linda Kreighbaum of La Porte, IN., Randy (Susan) of New Carlisle, IN., Paul (Beth) of Yakima, WA., and Rick (Lori) of Las Vegas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Roy Johnson; brothers, RD (Butch) Kelley, and Robert Spear, her second husband, William (Bill) Dove and step-son, Paul Dove.

She is survived by her children Lin, Carla, and Rob. Six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Clara McGill of Albion, IN., and cousin Delena Ware of Harrisburg, Arkansas, step-children, and several step-grandchildren.

Dean had a strong work ethic and retired from Modine Manufacturing as a radiator core assembler after many years.

She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. Cremation has taken place, and the family will observe a private remembrance at this time. Burial will take place at a later date.
