Mark A. Nagel, 73, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025, at 12:53 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1010 Moore Road, Long Beach, IN. Visitation will be from 9:15 am -10:00 am, Saturday, at the church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN, is handling arrangements.
He was born November 9, 1951, in Gary, IN, to the late Tobias and Marcella (Jansen) Nagel. 
Surviving are his sister, Mary (Edward) Momola of Portage, IN; two nieces, Kimberly (A.J.) Coulter and Nikita (Zack) Williams, both of Portage, IN; great-niece, Pandora Ann Williams; and his friend, Susan Smith of Michigan City, IN.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Nagel.
Mark was a social worker and a graduate of Ball State University. He was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Queen of All Saints Council, and the Three Oaks Bicycle Club. Mark enjoyed cycling, hiking, traveling, nature, and the love of God. He was also a volunteer for the Indiana State Parks, Salvation Army, and various homeless shelters.
