Betty Lois Ash, 72, of La Porte, IN, passed away on June 9, 2025, at Northwest Health-Porter.
She was born on September 3, 1952, in Jackson, MS, to Austin and Hallie Mae (Warner) Denney.
Betty is survived by her 3 children, Gina Bernacchi of Sawyer, Mi, Lynn (Kim) Tindle of La Porte, and Marty Tindle of La Porte; 15 grandchildren, Britney, Brandan, Bryce, Abigail, Daniel, Adam, Chris, Sam, Hunter, Iris, Kaspian, Ivan, Brenna, Dallas, and Ezra; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marie Hoops and Barbara Vermilyer; and brothers, Joe McCall, Jim Denney, and Homer McCall.

Betty was a driver for La Porte's TransPorte for many years. She enjoyed shopping and eating at Red Lobster. Most importantly, Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
