Jean C. Ragland, 97, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, at 1:15 pm in Residence at Coffee Creek, Chesterton, Indiana.
There will be no visitation. Private family services will be conducted. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City,
Indiana is handling arrangements.
She was born April 4, 1928, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late John and Ramona Niendorf. On November 27, 1947, in Michigan City, Indiana, she married Eugene Ragland, who passed away on July 21, 2014. 
Surviving are two grandchildren, Andrew Ragland of Michigan City, IN, Kimberly VanSickle of Michigan City, IN; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon
and Logan, both of Michigan City; daughter-in-law, Barbara Ragland of Michigan City, IN.

She was preceded in death by both her parents. husband, Eugene Ragland, Jr; one son James Ragland.
Jean was an avid member of Michigan City Christian Church, where she faithfully attended for many years and made some good friends. She enjoyed gardening, playing card games, and watching various game shows.
Jean was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed taking care of her home and her family.
