David L. Bradley

David L. Bradley, 75, of Michigan City, Indiana, and a longtime resident of Long Beach, Indiana, passed away on January 27, 2025, after a long and hard-fought battle.
David was born on October 24, 1949, to Patricia Geoffrey Bradley and Harold Bradley, who preceded him in death. He is survived by Joseph Petti of Michigan City, Indiana, his very patient and compassionate partner and husband of over 40 years, and his son Geoff (Nicole) and grandson Nikos Bradley of Frisco, Colorado; his very special sister Gaye Kelsey of Houston, Texas; and all his special girlfriends.
David received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University
Bloomington and earned his master’s degree from Notre Dame.
David was a hairdresser and the former owner of two salons in South Bend, Indiana, a career he loved for 45 years. He took a break from hairdressing to work for Helene Curtis as a district manager after receiving his master’s degree, and later worked for JCPenney. But more than anything, David loved his clients.
During his years in South Bend, David was an active volunteer and board member of the Center for the Homeless, the South Bend Regional Museum of Art, and the Center for Hospice, where he was a non-denominational volunteer. He was also a deacon at the First Presbyterian Church.
David had a special gift- he never met a stranger, and within a few minutes of meeting you, he would connect with you in a meaningful way.
David leaves behind his spirit, his clients, his friends, and family, and his life on this earth. He thanks you all for the wonderful memories.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the First Presbyterian Church, 121 W. 9th St., Michigan City, IN 46360.  Pastor Nancy Nichols will preside.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 121 E. 7th St., Michigan City, IN 46360, or to Parkinson's Research Foundation, 5969 Cattleridge Blvd., Suite 100, Sarasota, FL 34232.
