Robert H. Pahs, September 27, 1940 - April 30, 2025.
Robert H. Pahs, 84, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 10:53 pm in Munster Community Hospital, Munster, IN.
A celebration of life will be from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Moose Family Center 980, 2701 Welnetz Rd., Michigan City, IN. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN, is handling the arrangements.
He was born September 27, 1940, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Robert C. and Elizabeth (Phillips) Pahs. On September 14, 1963, in Michigan City, IN, he married Karen Burklow, who preceded him on June 30, 2013.
Surviving are two daughters, Theresa Pahs of Michigan City, IN, and Jennifer (Joe) Ferencevich of St. Joseph, MI; son, Robert K. (Toni) Pahs of Michigan City, IN; two grandchildren, Travis and Carrie; three great-grandchildren, Travis Pahs, II, Noah Sobolewski, and Annaliese Pahs; four sisters, Joan Shortall of Michigan City, IN, Janet Pahs of Valparaiso, IN, Kathleen (Jack) Pahs-Rhodes of Michigan City, IN, and Alice (Allan) Pahs-Huber of Mason, MI; two brothers, Stephen (Lynn) Pahs of West Lafayette, IN, and Michael (Mary) Pahs of Spring Hill, KS; sister-in-law, Carolyn Pahs of Michigan City, IN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Richard Pahs, Daniel Pahs, Eugene Pahs, and Philip Pahs; and two brothers-in-law, Francis Shortall and Keith Burklow.
He retired in 2012 as a millwright at Cleveland Cliffs, and he served in the Indiana National Guard as a Staff Sgt. for six years. Robert was a 1958 graduate of St. Mary's Catholic High School and a life member of the Moose Family Center 980 and the St. Joseph Young Men's Society. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, traveling, taking care of his yard, driving past the beach, telling jokes, and being with his family and friends.
