James R. Edlen, August 20, 1957 - April 22, 2025.
James R. Edlen, 67, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 5:15 am in Michigan Medicine, Ann Arbor, MI.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1506 Washington Street, Michigan City, IN, with  Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, and from 8:30 am - 9:30 am Tuesday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.
He was born August 20, 1957, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Frank and Mildred (Feldkamp) Edlen. On July 20, 1997, in Lake Tahoe, he married Shiela Pawlicke, who survives in Michigan City, IN.
Also surviving are a daughter, Katie (Thomas) Urdiales of Holly Ridge, NC; son, Justin Edlen of Michigan City, IN; one granddaughter; three sisters, Mary (James) Powers of Vincennes, IN, Wanda (James) Mallon of Crestwood, KY, and Carolyn Wilke of Rolling Prairie, IN, and three brothers, Clarence (Sandra) Edlen of Michigan City, IN, Ollie Edlen of La Porte, IN, and John Edlen of Michigan City, IN.
His sister, Bonnie Hartman, and brother, William Edlen, preceded him in death.
Jim retired as a carpenter with Carpenters Local Union 105. He enjoyed camping, walking, traveling, gardening, riding his Harley-Davidson, and spending time with family and friends.
