Kimberly Anne Carlson, January 13, 1969-April 21, 2025.

Kimberly Carlson, 56, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, at her home. 

She was born January 13, 1969, in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Kenneth Carlson and Judy (Christian) Carlson-Petros, both of whom survive.

She is also survived by her daughter, Jillian Xian Li (Emery Vickers) Bell of Bloomington, IN; brother, Scott Carlson of La Porte, IN; sister, Jennifer (Scott) Adrian of La Porte, IN; two uncles, Gordon Carlson of La Porte, Michael Christian of Texas; niece, Cassie Carlson and her boyfriend, Kevin Lilovich of La Porte. 

A lifelong resident of the area, Kim graduated from La Porte High School, class of 1988. She then went on to nursing school and began her nursing career, working at La Porte Hospital, I Street Clinic, and finally at South Bend Orthopedics in surgery and scheduling. Her greatest desire was to be a mom, and Kim spent many wonderful years raising her daughter, attending her marching band concerts, and other school events. She even learned to crochet because her daughter enjoyed it so much. She loved getting together with the whole family for Christmas and Thanksgiving, making her specialty and everyone's favorite corn casserole. Kim had a kind and loving spirit and a servant's heart, caring for all around her, and she will be sadly missed.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN.  The family has followed Kim's wishes to be cremated and will bury her at Pine Lake Cemetery at a later date.
