Cheyanne Nicole Reid, May 1, 1998-April 13, 2025.

Cheyanne Nicole Reid, 26, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Northwest Health-La Porte, Indiana, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born May 1, 1998, in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Shane Lee Reid and Angela Renee (Cline) Gentry, both of whom survive.

A lifelong resident of the area, Cheyanne attended La Porte High School and became the manager of the Dollar Tree East. Because of her love for animals, she wanted to work at the La Porte Small Animal Shelter, where she was hired just before her death. Cheyanne loved music and had very eclectic tastes, listening to everything from pop and R&B to classic rock and alternative. She had a knack for crocheting and loved to sit with her grandmother, who knitted, and make adorable things for her baby. Cheyanne adored her pets, dog Milo and cat Little Kitty. Her passion was her family and making a warm and welcoming home for her precious son Phoenix. Cheyanne was a kind, loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Along with her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandparents, Andrea and Daniel Fear; son, Phoenix; brothers, Brandon Cline, Ryder Reid; two sisters, Dawn Reid, Arianna Reid; half-sister Jessica; aunts, Kim Cline, Edith Cline; cousins, Hannah, Greg, Madison and nephew, Magnus. 

Cheyanne was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Marilyn Schroeder and Jacob Cline.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN, where the family will receive friends for a viewing on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., with a service at 7:00 p.m.  Cremation will take place.
