Richard Allen Vaughan, 67, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Northwest Health-La Porte.

Richard was born on July 21, 1957, in Michigan City, Indiana, to William A. Vaughan and Nora (Geese) Korbel.

On March 23, 1996, in La Porte, Indiana, he married Gail Szabo who survives. Also surviving are his 5 children, Jessica, Nora, Tommy, Ricky, and Ronnie; 10 siblings, Carla, Melinda, Lori, Charlotte, Charlie, Patty, Johnny Ray, Bobby, Suzie, and William; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Crystal.

Richard was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and grilling.  Richard loved working on cars and taking road trips on his motorcycle.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
