Karen Ann Towle, 72, of La Porte, IN, passed away on March 28, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family. 

Karen was born on July 22, 1952, in La Porte, IN, to Donald Mathias and Alice Jane (McLeod) Machler.

On May 12, 1984, in La Porte, IN, she married David Towle who survives. Also surviving are her 3 children, Jennifer (Charles) Morris of La Porte, Ryan Towle of La Porte, and Eric Towle of La Porte; stepson, Joshua Towle of Trail Creek; 4 grandchildren; sister, Linda Machler of La Porte; brother, Charles (Miku) Machler of Tavares, FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice Jane and Donald Mathias Machler.

Karen worked as a hairdresser and was fortunate to work on local movie sets, displaying her talent as such.  She enjoyed attending concerts, traveling, photography, cake decorating, shopping, crafting, watching celebrity stories, and floral arranging.  Karen loved to entertain, especially her dearest friends and beloved family, and spoiling her grandchildren. 

A time of visitation will be held from noon until the time of the service on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Nick Bello officiating. Burial will follow at Sauktown Cemetery.
