Kevin Jeremy Childress, 36, of Rolling Prairie, IN, passed away at the University of Chicago Medical Center on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

Kevin was born on June 21, 1988, in La Porte, IN, to Robert and Edna "Diane" (Ferguson) Childress.

He is survived by his father, Robert Childress; sister, Keshia Childress of Rolling Prairie; stepbrother, Jason Childress of Fort Myers, FL, and Chad Finnerty; and many nieces and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Edna "Diane" Childress; brother, Keith Childress; uncles, Charlie Ferguson, James Ferguson, Roy Ferguson, and Bill Childress, Jr; aunt, Betty Christian; and grandparents, Bill and Margie Childress.

While at La Porte High School, Kevin participated on the football and wrestling teams.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will start at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Monroe's Crossing Lakeview Restaurant, 7038 N. Chicago Rd., New Carlisle, IN 46552.
