Bob Richard Curry, 73, of Michigan City, IN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Northwest Health La Porte.

Bob was born on May 6, 1951, in Dowagiac, MI, to Bill and Charlotte (Doberstein) Curry.

On October 10, 1981, he married the love of his life, Deborah Richards, who survives. Also cherishing his memory are his sister-in-law, Gail Richards of Michigan City, and his two closest friends, Gary Mohamed of Severna Park, MD, and Dennis Logan of Trail Creek.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob was the former owner of Michigan City Body Shop before transitioning into the restaurant industry, where he spent 30 years as a dedicated restauranteur. A passionate advocate for conservation, he was a 25-year member and past president of the Michigan City Izaak Walton National Conservation Club, Chapter 7. Bob found great peace hiking the trails at Izaak Walton, where he loved immersing himself in nature. An avid fisherman and devoted sports fan, he embraced life enthusiastically and deeply appreciated the outdoors.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
