Mary Alice Holwell, 81, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away peacefully with her loving husband Thomas by her side at her home on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 2:51 am in Michigan City, Indiana.
There will be no visitation or service. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana, is handling arrangements.
She was born July 24, 1943, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Frank R. Kemp and Agnes T. Welnetz. On December 17, 2015, in Michigan City, Indiana, she married Thomas Holwell who survives in Michigan City, Indiana.
Surviving are sister, Betty Peo of Michigan City, IN; nephew, Frank Peo of Michigan City, IN, godson and nephew Tom Marcinkoske of Michigan; niece, Mary Beth Richardson of Michigan. She was preceded in death by both her parents, first husband, Michael J. Kelly; sister, Barbara Marcinkoske; brother, Jim Kemp.
Mary was a very hard worker and worked a variety of administration jobs in her career. She loved taking drives down Lake Shore Drive in her convertible and enjoyed having conversations. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her, especially her maltese dog, Seth.
